I'm in an Uber going to a party or I post some statistics, but I will later. You need to start to own up to what you're doing. You are not MAGA, but when it comes to this safety stuff your propaganda is lockstep with them. You need to figure it out.

I don't want to talk MAGA viewpoints? No, you still don't get it. I am calling out MAGA propaganda and misleading out of context misinformation, which you are spouting, and you refuse to acknowledge it or take any accountability and correct yourself.

There are 1.33 fatalities for every 100 million miles driven. An average drive is 12 miles, so 100 million miles is 8.3 million ridees. So that would be 120 deaths per billion rides. And not to mention, way way way more horrific and serious injuries. This year there have been 11 homicides in the NYC subway, and over a billion rides. So 11 per billion or 120 per billion (plus an absolute shit ton more car injuries) - what is safer Indus? But yet your right wing propaganda makes it sound like the NYC subway is a murder zone and a terribly unsafe transportation mode. The facts are the NYC subway is much safer than driving, but not if we listened to the way you and MAGA frame it, you present it as the opposite.

as far as barriers on subway platforms, I mean of course I am for that and so are tons of new yorkers. They do it in multiple other countries, and we want it here too. That still doesn't change that your messaging is false, misleading, and in lockstep with MAGA propaganda on this subject.

See it a lot these days too. Tons of teens on their own in the city. All they need is subway fare. They go do lots of things independently. They are exposed to insane amounts of diversity and culture and pick up street smarts really fast. People are talking about dystopian NYC, which as you can see from my video, does not exist. I will ride through BK and Queens too and take video on food tours, it's not just downtown Manhattan. Teens are allowed to be independent by their parents - and I am talking from all classes, races and backgrounds. You could easily see a middle or lower class kid roaming around as well as the kids of wealthy upper east or upper west siders. This is the true anarchy of the mean streets of the city.

But then again.... there was the Union Square Riot when a bunch of unsupervised teens gathered together.

Those platform doors are going to breakdown very quickly.... in NYC people just hold the doors open for the next person. The pictured system would even fail, their are a lot of people who would stick their arm into the door, and at the same time try to edge their way over the barrier. NYC platform barriers would need to be almost the hight of the train it door itself even.
As for the second one, there are idiots who think the Emergency Exit door is the exit, and when they open that door there is a fare evader probably waiting on the other side.

By saying "repeal no cash bail" aren't you basically saying he should've been locked up for being poor? Bail on misdemeanors generally isn't set very high.

And in that world it is impossible to have good governance, so we get people like Trump and Desantus that do nothing but sling mud, but it makes low information people feel better so that is what they vote for. This is what every subway I saw in Korea looked like. Of course, Koreans actually take care of their collective property, unlike Americans.

MTA also reported bus travel times are down. Some routes substantially. Ridership bumps seen on subway and commuter rail as well.

My wife was reading an article on NYT that had a bunch of business owners complaining, and it all basically was "congestion pricing works, but I don't like that it works against me too."

Hopefully the effects are sticky. I know a lot of toll roads have a dip when they start charging or raise prices, but usually recover.

Governor Murphy of New Jersey was a fucking idiot. Instead of working with the City he just fought it. What he left on the table was 100 million a year for the New Jersey Transit budget, and that was a starting point, probably could have negotiated for more. But instead just fought it, like a dumbass regressive would.

The total NJ Transit budget is just over 2 billion a year. If he could have gotten $200 million a year that's nearly 10% of the operating budget worth of an increase.

I mean I see the problem people are generally fucking stupid and all they see is toll and they don't care about anything else. They have no vision, no interest in anything deeper than the most knee-jerk reaction. We have created one of the dumbest societies in the advanced first world nations.
