are you ingesting it optically

Nope, I am ingesting it in the usual manner. (Ingestion is the consumption of a substance by an organism. In animals, it normally is accomplished by taking in the substance through the mouth into the gastrointestinal tract, such as through eating or drinking.)

The source I quoted considers it to be an eye and skin irritant, in addition to the dangers of ingestion (consumption by mouth).

Sorry for ruining this.

Anyway try not to consume ~5 GRAMS in powdered form all at once.

How did you ruin it, I don't understand. I have read that Wikipedia article quite a few times in the past, along with write-ups on BodyBuilding.com, WebMD.com, Examine.com, among others. Nowhere before did I encounter what I read in the article I linked to in my original post, which is why I was intrigued.

So, how does the Wikipedia entry shed any illumination on this matter?

I suppose (although I may be wrong) you are trying to say that, according to Wikipedia, it is not "dangerous." True, nowhere else does it claim it to be. As far as the paresthesia effect is concerned, I quite enjoy that. ;-) It is supposed to be harmless anyway, and I really like the tingling effect.

Never mind. . . I read that report and thought it was strange. Didn't seem like it was satirical.

Oh, well.

Rat LD50 was 1000mg/kg. You'd have to choke down 75-100g of the stuff at once to reach that (15-25x the normal dose).

The best thing you can do for your muscles is still just to eat as much healthy food as you can, drink a lot of water periodically throughout the day, and use a good protein drink (i like On Whey.)
