Best Buy will try to weasel out of replacing it. The repairs must involve a hardware replacement. If any of the repairs were software related or cleaning related, forget it. As for the replacement, they will replace it up to the original cost of the comp but not the warranty price. I took my laptop in for a noisy fan, they replaced the wrong fan. Back it goes and they replaced the new fan that they replaced the first time with another new fan. Third time I sent specific details as to which fan was noisy. I got it back and it said they cleaned the fan and reseated the new fan. It was still noisy too. They informed me that it would now fall under the "No Lemon" clause. A few days later I got a call and was told my laptop was repaired and ready to be picked up. I didn't get a replacement but my laptop was finally fixed . . . . . . until four days later when it refused to post.

I sent it back and they replaced it with a new lappy. I had a Compaq 1.4GHz Athlon4, 256megsPC133, 8x4x24/6x cdrw/dvd, 18GB drive, 14.1" display. It was replaced with an eMachines m6811, A64 3400+, ATI Mobility 9600, 512megsPC2700, 80GB drive, CDRW/DVD-+R and a 15.4" wide screen. I had to pay $249.99 for a three year PSP (warranty) and I mailed off for $250 in rebates. It will make one penny on the replacement if the rebates go through.
