I bought an X-Box game called World Series Baseball. The game is awfully fun but the CPU's AI sucks so much (even on All Star Difficulty). I mean I threw 5 PERFECT GAMES through 6 weeks in the season. So I am bored with it and felt it was a mistake buying this game from BestBuy.

I still have the receipt and the original torn wrapping. Is there any way they'll accept a return? It doesn't hurt to ask :p

No, you open it then it's your unless defective and they will swap it for the SAME title.

Best Buy does not take back opened software or video games. They will only exchange it for the same exact thing if it is faulty.

Hmm how much does EBWorld trade in an X-Box game? It's kind of sad how I just spent $45 buying this game last week and how I'm trading it in for probably a third of its price at EB. Would it be wise to exchange for a copy at BestBuy (hence getting a new copy) and selling it on E-bay? There's a problem though...

Should I consider E-Bay? I don't have a credit card and my parents are too scared of internet security but I can use my friend's CC to make an E-Bay account. I've never used it before so I'm kind of lost about how the whole process goes. Perhaps someone can shoot me a URL that explains to me how E-bay works? Thanks...

PS: I'm considering E-bay because I just ran a quick check there and the game (brand new and used) are running around $30. Hey I only lose about $15 from my purchase but it's probably better than whatever EBWorld is going to give me for the trade-in.

I would NOT advise you to go hawk on ebay for the sake of doing so. Try FS/FT as john said or next time buy at EB.

they have the best return policy. you buy a game, if it sucks, you can get a refund.

How does the For Sale/For Trade forum work? I mean how in the world do you "guarantee" an exchange of a product for money there?

Heh I think I'm going to trade it in EBWorld. I have no idea how to use E-bay's service and I have no idea how to use the FS/FT forums. Oh well...guess getting back some of the money that you paid for the game is better than getting back nothing at all. Or maybe I should ask one of my friends who are E-bay wizards to do it for me...

Anyways, does anyone know how much EBWorld will trade-in a game for? Also, if I trade in my game to them, will they give me cash or some kind of store credit that I have to use that day?

Also, has anyone here ever use The X-Box Stop? It's a Trading Service where you can:

- Buy your game (New)
- Buy your game (Used)
- Sell your game
- Trade any game you own FOR the game + $7
- Trade your game for ANOTHER game + $7

It sounds like a really good deal because all I gotta do is trade in my copy of World Series Baseball (and $7) and I can choose any game I want and they'll ship it to me. Sounds too good to be true though... maybe it's a scam? They do have the BBB logo at the bottom of their website.

I can't find a HELP page or some kind of FAQ page on their site. Hmm...

ebay: get a credit card and prepeare to expose the most intimate details of your life
FS/FT: list the item, get a m.o from the buyer and send it. its not that hard. try reading the rules of the FS forum

You should be able to return it without a problem. I just bought an opened returned spindle from there.
