I think ALL FujiFilm CDRs are Taiyo Yudens. I could be wrong, but I never once ran into Fujifilms that were not TYs.

how do i tell if the fujis i just picked up are TY?

As for the cdrs..look on the labe lfor made in JApan..I have not heard of any Fujifilm that are not Taiyo yuden ....made in Japan

You can get the CDR Identifier software. Also the fujifilm laebls say "made in japan" and the spindle has a circulur cap type thing you unscrew and just lift the plastic top off...at least that's how my fujifilm cd-r's are like and they're taiyo yuden's...

On a deal like this, I anticipate sellout, and, indeed, I went to my BB today and they only had about 50 spindles on hand.
What I do is stash a cube in the store that is infrequently accessed, then go back to the store and calmly get my stashed
spindle and buy. However, on Sunday the wait in line is usually about 20-25 minutes (it's packed), so I go back on Monday
and it's usually still there. In and out in a few minutes.

May not be kosher but it works for me. Now if the deal's a scanner, I'm out of luck..

Another nice thing about the Fuji CDRs aside from being T-Y : the rebates are really fast if you file via the web at Fuji's eBate rebate site My last purchase of 100 from BB came back in about 3 weeks.

though i have about 200 cds sitting aroun, i think i might grab a pk of those fuji...
its always good to have some high quality cds aroun... jus in case, and for the image...

im planning on getting a few spindles of the fuji's too..i've never gone to best buy on sunday when they start the sales..are there really a LOT of people?? like would there be a line at the door before it even opens? because im really in need of these cdr's so if there will be a lot of people, im planning on going there early before it opens and wait at the door..

also, would they offer only 1 MIR per receipt? would i have to like ask the cashier to ring up each spindle separately or no?

The website shows 16x, so I assume thats what they will have at the store. May be a warm deal for speed freaks with their 32x burners.
