Best X58 Motherboard

Hello to Everyone,

I am new to the forums and been wanting to get involved for awhile and would like to take this time to ask for your help and input. I am building a new computer and been searching for the best X58 motherboard out there. I have looked at reviews on the Asus Rampage Extreme, MSI Eclipse X58, and several others. I am a big gamer and I have also recently noticed the Evga Classified board and I am wondering how this board stands out compared to Asus and the other competitors. If you all can help give me some direction that would be great and I hope that I provided enough info! Thanks again!

Jeremy🙂

I really dont have a budget looking to get the best mobo for gaming out there from the ones I listed unless there is something else even better.

P6T Delux. What the hell difference does a motherboard make for gaming after a certain point? Budget may not be a concern, but why don't you just use the extra $100 bill to roll a fattie. At least you'll get more use out of it. 😉

How about the mATX boards from ASUS and DFI? Those look very attractive to me. Do they come close to normal ATX boards when it comes to overclocking, or are they far behind?

I have the R2E and.. meh... it's nice and has some cool features; Unless you spend the time to squeeze every last bit out of your CPU you will get 99.9% of the performance out of the P6T class boards.

If I had to do it over again I would probably get the EVGA A1 board for $300ish... maybe the Asus WS board

That makes it just another x58 board but overpriced and EATX. Rather get all the little extras that the R2E offers.

you should get evga classified only if you are doing triple sli and want additionally slot open for your soundcard or you want an extreme oc. else it is not worth it.
