New York Times
The Economist
Wall Street Journal
Christian Science Monitor

Al Jazeera is good to get another look at a topic you've already been introduced to, but not the place I'd go to start. I find the New Yorker writing style a little on the pretentious side, personally.

Love Reuters. All I need is major international and national news with little commentary.

BBC News is my second favorite.

Reuters and BBC are what I primarily tune into. Reuters tends to be a bit more business/economics oriented though, but a little digging and you find the same stuff as on any other news site.
