Zelda OoT

it was such an amazing experience playing that game for the first time. Everything feels like its living and breathing.

I think final fantasy's worlds in general are sweet. Just think of it, how cool would it be after browsing anandtech to go out into the wilderness with your pals and level up :D

FF7, Deus Ex.
I want Deus Ex 2 and the online FF to be released, I hope they're something special.

All I have to say is....If I could work for Square, I would be so freakin extatic. I don't think there's been a Square game that I haven't fallen in love with. They rock my world.

Well I don't like that criteria since it pretty much excludes itself to RPGS.

Personally, I think Starcraft has one of the best worlds. Seeing as its a strategy game (and naturally the single player is quite horribly boring), yet people still played it through just to know the story. That along w/ reading the instruction booklet about all the characters and events, and its continuing evolvement.

Only goes further along once Starcraft: Ghost comes out.

GTA3 or Half-Life (before it gets all trippy near the end)

Forgot to mention Aliens v. Predator 2.
