Ow, I forgot somethin.. You will not be able to configure it of course... 🙂 No, you'll have to install the software first then on your good comp, and configure it from there... 😉

Goddammit... Looks like you already have a built-in modem... Look here for their possible connection schemes... You have the third one eh... Then I'm afraid you'll have to buy a modem as well... 🙁

No no, it's not that kind of modem you need... Of course you could be right, having one, but that'll not work...

This is what you need, an external ADSL modem... You'll have to use that little microfilter, connecto your modem to it, and then your wireless router...

EDIT: A review that's a guide as well...

My computer is connected to the internet and I'm happy but the reason I'm getting a wireless router is because my Dad wants to connect the old PC to the internet aswell is it possible to buy a cheap router (with wires just to connect the old PC to the internet?

Ok, a short recapitulation of what you need to have and do...

You need:

Microfilter: You have this one already
ADSL Modem: D-Link DSL-300T - £ 29.99
Wireless Router: D-Link DI-624+ - £ 40.03
2 Wireless USB sticks: D-Link DWL-G122 - £ 23.00

Total price: £ 116.02

You have to do:

1) Leave the microfilter as is...
2) Connect the ADSL Modem to it with the port mentioned here...
3) Connect the ADSL Modem to your best PC's Ethernet port (with a CABLE) and configure it, as shown here...
4) Connect the Wireless Router to the Modem once the configuring of the Modem is done
5) Connect the Wireless Router to your best PC's Ethernet port with a CABLE (supplied)...
5) Configure the Wireless Router...
6) When it's done, install one of the Wireless Sticks to your best PC and try to make a connection... If that doesn't work, go back to step 5...
7) If it works, install the other stick on your other computer...

That should do...

LOL 😛 Yeah of course... 🙂 But seeing that the modem is built-in... You will probably have to buy a new one then... This D-Link DSL-300T modem, and this D-Link DI-604 wired router are my recommendations... Too bad that BT only provided a router with one ethernet hole... 🙁

EDIT: Hmm, you may be able to use the BT one as a modem, and just buy a new router then... But I would have no idea as how to do this... 🙁

It a DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR motherboard but it works fine with the USB, would it work if I buy another BT Voyager 205 and just connect the old PC to the internet with that and just keep my PC the way it is???

Mate, first try a new driver will ya...? Normaly the Ethernet port on such a mobo should work impeccable... It could save you £ 30-ish... BTW I don't think that's going to work...
