Best Windows?

What Windows version do you all think is the best for a home 'puter that is also used for gaming? I would think Win98 SE, but lemme have yer input and why.

Probably Win98 SE...

Advantages:
1) Most gaming support, period.
2) Most driver support (esp. for gaming hardware)
3) M$ still supports it and not Win95

Disadvantages:
1) Crashes
2) if you have lots of RAM, it's about 10% slower than Win2k
3) Crashes
4) Did I mention that it crashes a lot?

Define 'also used for gaming.' I run quite a few games on my 2k machine; HL, BG, Q2, Q3, and a few others. All of which work well. In a few cases much better than on my 98se machine. But I'm still dual booting 2k and 98se just in case. If you're going to gaming ease, I'd go 98se even though it's a heck of a lot less stable than 2k.
