Have been using the latest version for awhile and it's fine. The Media Library kicks ass, completely eliminates any need for anything like iTunes (unless you own an iPod of course).

Because foobar is so damn overly complicated for your average user. It's like the linux of audio players for God's sake!

I do use it, however, for its various tools (fixing VBR headers, replaygain, etc...)

I hooked my brother up with foobar and he doesn't even know how to use computers at all. The default setup in the most recent version doesn't require any tweaking. The functionality is there but nobody needs to touch it. Well, I had to turn on the associations for him, but that's it.

Dynamic Library is 3x better. Download it, it's worth your time. I've found Media Library makes my Winamp startup time ~1minute; if I uninstall Media Library startup time jumps to ~5 seconds.

That's strange, I use Media Library exclusively and Winamp starts up in maybe 2 seconds for me. Any songs I've added instantly show up with the proper tags and I'm good to go.

Yeah, I'm guessing it's something wrong with my computer. I've isolated the problem (twice, at that) as being the Media Library, but a friend's Media Library works fine. In any case, Dynamic Library is better anyway.
