The Outlaw Joesy Wales just started on TBS.

IMO, this is the best Western movie ever made. Not "by far", but it is certainly my favorite...

I'm not a fan of the genre, but there's always been something about the Terence Hill comedy westerns, I just love them :) "Il Mio nome è Nessuno" (My Name Is Nobody) from 1974 has to be one of my favorites.

Agree The Outlaw Joesy Wales the greatest western of all time. Though The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly is close behind, and the Magnificent 7 is really good as well.

yea .. blazing saddles too ... heh

Changed the channel and watched "Josie Wales".
I like the scene at the end where he rides into 9 Bears' camp.
That whole scene is really great.

High Noon 1952
Director: Fred Zinnemann
Cast: Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly, Lloyd Bridges, Thomas Mitchell, Katy Jurado, Otto Kruger

This is the "Citizen Kane" of westerns. It influenced ALL westerns that came after it as far as music, directing, acting, themes, camera angles, set design, symbolism, etc...
This is the first, and only movie I can think of off the top of my head, that takes place in real time.
In other words, the movie starts at 11:45am and ends at 1:10pm and runs 1 hour and 25 mins.

Blazing Saddles has to be one of my fav western as well.

Western movies + Clint Eastwood = great movies. There are a few exceptions, such as Paint Your Wagon, but then I still like it alot
