I know what you mean. For an extra $6/mo that's incredible bang for your buck.

Do you see anywhere a limit on the number of domains you can host? I don't see it.

shinseik & Mojoed,

SonataWeb replied and I gotta give them credit for being honest.

1) They do oversell but to an extent. Server resources are closely monitored not to negatively impact clients accounts. Their response indicates even after the end of the month they still have a spare 1,000GB bandwidth remaining. Makes you wonder though what if everyone uses their max resources, what happens then? Of course this would be extremely rare. Most of my web hosting clients use 1/5th of what they're paying for, this is fairly typical in the web hosting industry.

2) On your resellers account, overselling is enabled. So if you only have 3GB/75GB resources you can allocate more than that. You just can't use more than 3GB/75GB resources.

I have an account through hostpc.com based on this question being asked previously. No problems with them. Might want to check their deals out also. The owner posts over in Hot Deals if I remember right. McDealer I think.

I dont see the 5GB/125GB option, where is it? I have a 6GB/60GB plan right now from thrillhost and I am getting close to my monthly limit with my gallery site, more bandwidth would be very nice!

doH! now i see it! my bad! I think i might move, Thrill host is costing me $30 a month for 6GB/60GB, this is a much better deal!

I'm waiting for SonataWeb.net to get their LiquidWeb server online before I sign up.

Alright i signed up..took the 8.95 plan, got (another) domain name to use. Now the process of moving everything over to the new host. 🙁 This could be the sucky part...databses to move...work to be done..yikes!

That is sweet, but I dont have a need for dedicated hosting right now...maybe int he near future though. I would have to start charging for my webspace I guess. 🙂

Rossman, do they do custom DNS at Sonataweb? I didnt even notice, I had to use their nameservers for my new domain name, hope I can use my own domain name...

Alright i signed up..

Congratulations, please let us know what you think of the service and support 🙂

took the 8.95 plan

Why did you do that?

It would seem like a DOWNGRADE since ThrillHost was offering the better WHM Resellers account with the ability to host unlimited domains.

got (another) domain name to use.

I picked up a few domains when GoDaddy.com has a nice $6.95/yr domain sale!

Now the process of moving everything over to the new host. This could be the sucky part...databses to move...work to be done..yikes!

Why do that when they can move it for you for free? Just submit a support ticket with your cPanel login details.

You people are impossible, all you think about is PRICE PRICE PRICE PRICE PRICE! I give up.

I'm confused so you did or did not sign up after all?

Yes but remember to order a Resellers Account starting at $12.95/mo or higher.

You get what you pay for!

Poor RossMan. 🙁

Merry Christmas!

DOH! Sorry Rossman. 🙂

I got the $18.95 plan, I missed the one there..typo! I am not so much about the price, I am sure I will keep Thrillhost, they have been good to me, I am probably going to move my image site over to the new provider to offload the bandwidth, then use thrillhost for my "customer" websites. 🙂

imagetex.com is just a hobby.

avoid ripplehost, lousy service, they basically charged me for nothing and my account was never set up correctly, had to dispute the charge with citibank.
