Best Ways to Clean a Comforter...

'K, yeah, this is kind of pathetic, but it's late, so I can't call my mom... good lord, I hate not knowing everything about a household.

'K, basically, I spilled some ramen juice on my bedspread a little bit earlier; the bedspread itself has been scotchguarded, and I wiped everything off with a wet towel, but I'm wondering if I should do any further cleaning, and if so, how? I'm thinking just throwing it in the laundry would be the best, but that takes off the Scotchguard and weakens the fabric.

Any suggestions?
 
baking soda. You can get anything out with Baking soda.

ramen juice sounds so wrong🙂 and can't you just take the comforter cover off and waash it? u should have a cover on a comforter.. i think they are called duvets(i learned something from fraiser) 😉

It's a bedspread... I don't know the difference, 😀. I had just finished a bowl of ramen, but there's always that little bit that you can't drink because it has all the seasoning leftovers... so I set it on my bed, and accidently knocked against it... spilled this nice long line of soapy ramen water across my bed...

I'm just wondering if washing it would be the best thing to do... it's been heavily scotchguarded, but if I wash it, it will take all the scotchguard off... etc.

that's right, be your own man. don't conform to that "table" crap !

why don't you just take it to the dry cleaner's, that's what i did when my roomate spilled beer on it.

 
just wash it and be done with it - what the heck difference does it make if the scotch guard washes off - you got your priorities wrong

quit being afraid of your mother too (or at least don't admit it to anyone)

the comforter is not an heirloom, it gets dirty, you wash it, it eventually wears out, then you get a new one.
 
man, I drain 95% of the water from my ramens before I put the seasoning in... I like 'em as noodles, not soup. and they have a lot more kick when the spice is in just the noodles and not dissolved all in the water
