Pull the SDcard with it on out of the first phone and stick it in the second.

You don't know what the other phone will be, but do you know what OS it will run? If it's Android, you could use a computer as a middleman device to transfer the file, or a flashdrive if you can connect one to either phone.

If the other phone is an iPhone... good luck lol.

USB to your computer (copy, not move) then copy it to the new phone whenever you get it. MUCH faster than using a file-hosting site. Though not as convenient to access.

we're going to be at a bar and there's a high % chance the other person would want a copy of this video.

I guess putting my micro-sd card into the other person's phone then copying it to that phone's internal storage is the easiest way?

In my experience this app doesn't work too well with Marshmallow. I haven't had good success transfering with my gf's Nexus 5x. I just got an RMAed Nexus 6p and still no go. In the XDA thread people are talking about that too and there are other apps that may be better now.

If you can do that it's definitely going to be the quickest way.

Do they have wifi direct? Most of my android phones do. I copy stuff to and fro all the time.

no idea. does my marshmallow android phone have it?
how to access?

My Note 7, S7 Edge, LGV10 and Sony Zx3 have it. I think its been around since Android OS ver 4 or 5.

See if you have any other settings options when you long-press on the wifi icon on the phone. Also, long pressing on whatever file you want to share will bring up share options. See if one of the options is wifi direct.

In a pinch you could transfer via bluetooth. I've done it, it ain't pretty but it does work.
