everyone saying "do 100 crunches a day" has no clue wtf they are talking about. you dont want to do your abs anymore than you want to do normal muscles. if you workout your abs CORRECTLY, you will not be able to do your abs the following day, and possibly the day after that as well, becausee they will be sore.

you want to workout your abs once every 4 or 5 days at the soonest. I personally do them once a week. and I think I have pretty good abs ...

I do 3 sets of leglifts of about 17 or so each set, on a declined bench.
I then do the leg raise thing where you kind of try to "sit on the air" by bringing your legs up, and i have a dumbell between my feet to add more resistance.
I then do 2 sets of crunches of about 17 - 20, concentrating on the muscle contractions and holding it for a second or two each time.
I then do 2 sets of crunches on that thing where you sit down, but have you back part behind you to rest your back on. I hold a medicine ball or dumbell and hold it against my chest as I'm at the low part of my crunch, and as I raise up from the crunch, I lift the dumbell up. I hold it there for a second or two.
I then do these side twists things for my obliques.

It's hard to tell people how to do these exercises, its much easier to actually demonstrate them heh.

You can do abs every day or every other day. They're not like other muscle groups. Bodybuilding 101.

Also, it was entirely unecessary to link a half naked photo of yourself dude. Please refrain from attempting to impress the ATOT population with your ROCK HARD ABS!

Here's a good reference for ab exercises.

Ok. I looked at the site you linked me to, and in one of the articles it says...

" You only need to train your abs twice a week for maximum results. Once again, treat them like any other muscle group (which means you wouldn't train them more often). Combine this weight training with proper diet and intense cardio and that elusive six-pack is yours to be had! "

You say it's unlike every other muscle and you can do it everyday. I disagree.

A muscle is a muscle. Wherever it is in the body.

Where did you get the idea that the abs muscles weren't the same as the other muscles?!

A muscle needs to have at least a 48h break. Period.

There's a recent report that shows that doing the bicycle and the captain's chair are the most effective, then crunch variations.

I was curious about that big exercise ball. Brooke Burke looks good in that celebrity whatever infomercial. Apparently is only $10 + s&h, but there must be catch.
