The only reason to work your abs is to make them stronger to give your torso more support. If you want a six pack, you need to adjust your diet and/or do lots of cardio to burn fat.
Working the abs will not make the fat covering the muscles disappear. So no matter how many sit ups you do, if you don't burn the fat covering the muscles, all you'll do is make yourself look fatter.
Try liposuction . . .
