so i have a friend that has a blackberry, and she has 2 mailboxes that are in use on her storm.

The first is a gmail account that i set up for her which isnt a problem because she only has maybe 100-200 emails in that mailbox.

Her yahoo account is whats taking up so much space.. When i log into her webmail she has 3000+unread messages and 13000 total emails....

Does the BB snyc all these?

Im wondering what to do besides just remove the yahoo account and have her check her yahoo email though her phone browser so it doesnt take up so much space.

I want to do this because her phone goes super slow and i even went to install an app on her phone and it gave me a not enough space message. and she barely has any apps installed!

lol trust me ive tried to tell her. Ive got her at least keeping her gmail box clean and organized but i dont think theres hope for the yahoo one.

well then give her 2 options

A. Delete the 13,000 emails that I'm sure she doesn't read at all anymore (I mean wtf I don't think I've even gotten that many emails over my life time)

B. Deal with slow ass exchange and no room on her phone.

well if those emails are on her yahoo why not just go to the most recent date on the BB and hit menu -> delete prior. Will delete all emails off the phone.

This. You can also go to mesages -> options -> general options...keep messages for (x). Change that to like...a week or something.

But yeah, have her clean that up. I have like 800 in my gmail and i feel like a slob....in fact i might do that right now.

I have close to 10000 messages on my gmail account.
However, that also includes my .edu address as I have everything from my school account go into my gmail account, and I use gmail's feature to use my school email as the "from" address when I want to.

On my Droid, I have it sync the past 4 days.
I delete quite a bit of email, but I've always look at gmail as "might as well archive it" because I'm not worried about space constraints. That has come to be quite handy as well, because often I've wanted to search for an email I got awhile ago.
Doesn't take up so much space on my phone, and if I need access to the old emails the search is wonderful.

This.

EDIT:
- also check that she hasn't got a crappy app that is leaking memory.
- What OS version is this running? (options/about) It should be updated if it has never been, as the launch OS for the Storm 1 is very, very bad.
