Best way to test ports on Cisco Switch?

What are your guys input on the best to test all the ports on a cisco switch? Any utilities, or just simply by plugging in and testing connectivity, any input appreciated, thanks guys!

not 100% sure if it checks individual ports, but make sure all the POST (power on self test) messages come back with a status of Passed. issue a show post to check the stored messages.

manually plugging into each port would be the ultimate test...

multiband8303, always test link-up and moving traffic through every port before putting a switch into production... or you'll find out the hard way when you have a problem.
