Best way to test nic?

I'm using a Netgear 10/100 FA310TX from years ago in my machine that I love, but I just got in a shipment of Belkin 10/100 NICs that are quite a bit smaller in size than my current card.

Can anyone recommend a good way to measure throughput and CPU utilization?

EDIT: Btw, the Belkin card is using the Realtek RTL8139 chipset and the Netgear uses DEC 21140-AE chipset.

Measure the bandwidth of your connection between two computers.

Install the new NIC in one computer, and measure again.

Windows has two programs that indicate Resource usage.
