If you can run Furmark for a few hours, with no artifacts and no crashing, then you're probably stable.

I say probably because when I had my GTX280 at 702/1458/1242 I ran furmark for 12 hours fine. Crysis was fine. However, UT3 artifacted in a few spots. So I toned it back down to 670/1404/1215 and all is well

I think UT3's artifacts was due to the fact that it also has hardware physx. That uses the card in a different way than Crysis and Furmark. The card wasn't hot, but it did exibit some issues. I'm experimenting more with my setup and trying to inch the card higher.
