Best way to ship a CPU, without the original packaging?

I have two socket-A AthlonXP CPUs I'm probably going to put up for sale. Anyone have a recommendation on shipping these without having the original packaging from AMD?

Could've sworn I saw a thread about this earlier...

Get some foam and push the pin side into it. Another piece on top and ship in a box.

EDIT: The one way slot CPUs were better; easier to ship!

The best way would be to find the clamshell specific to your cpu and use that, most secure way.

Otherwise, stick in envelope and mail

Do you have 2 anti-static bags lying around? If so, put 'em in them, and then just use packing peanuts MIDIman 🙂

Funny ideas guys - I actually thought this could be a fairly serious topic!

If I remember correctly, bubble wrap/peanuts are bad since they can produce static. I forgot about the foam sandwich idea. I'm sure I could snag some from my HDs packaging. I think that in an antistatic bag, surrounded by packing would work the best.
