Best way to share Speakers

I would like to have it where my Logitech Z560's were shared between my pc and my Xbox.

I have the opitcal cord, opitcal cable, and advance av pack. But i need optical out on my sound card, which it doesn't have. Audigy OEM.

Any help would be very nice 🙂

thanks

Creatrive Didigital I/O 2.

Add on card that adds coaxial and optical SPDIF outputs and inputs onto the Audigy or Live!'s basic capabilities.

That will allow one to utilize digital

(posibility) Have a splitter. One goes to your computer. One goes to your XBox.

Hmm, I'm unable to determine if the Logitech speakers are able to simeltaneously accept digital and analog signals. What I would suggest is using something like a splitter to mix the analog outputs from your computer and your X-box.

But I'm pretty sure that that daughter card would allow you to output digital and then have your X-box use analog. I'm just not completly sure.

Well, I still say you'd be better off going with the daughter card since it would allow you to, well, you know... carry it over with another upgrade and such, as well as you have to consider the fact that it would degrade quality. Other than that, you can just get a live driveIR/LivedriveII, get a he** of a nice upgrade in the process. The question though, is will your speakers accept analog and digital *at the same time*????

yah , I really like the daughter card upgrade better.

There is no info in the Z-560's manual and no info on the Logitech site.

I might have to e-mail tech support

I'd advise e-mailing tech support and asking them because it'd be a crying shame to buy the optical daughtercard and have your speakers reject the signal.

NOTE:!!!!!IF you do buy the optical daughter card, read the FAQ on the subject of the Audigy's digital out! It has a piece of information that will save you hours of trying to figure out where all that static is comming from. hehe.

Those are some wonderful speakers. I really hope you can get it working because it'd enhance the great video of the xbox with some monster audio. 😀

<< u can get them at any frys. with all the other av switch boxes. mine are sony >>

Most of us don't live near a Frys. I've searched for these switch boxes around here and can't find any.

sony audio selector sb-a40

thats what is printed on my unit😛 maybe that'll help u find it.. i dunno.

4 inputs 2 outputs😛 4 switches. i have bigger ones that have svideo/av switches for the tv and stuff. i guess places like goodguys or whatever might have em too.
