Best way to sell large lot of DVDs and CDs?

Any suggestions? I have about 500 DVDs and 700 CDs that I want to sell. They're all originals and in great condition. I finally realized that they are just taking up space.

You interested in profit or just moving them?

Profit would be individual ebay or Craig's list sales.

Moving them would involve selling to one or more used music/movie places around town. Though with that kind of volume a lot would be looking at almost doubling their stock.

I would like to maximize profit. I'll have to try Craigs list. The stores around here pay about 10c a disc.

Take pics, lots of pics, they might sell for more than that.

10 cents a disc?? That's ridiculous.. For 100 CDs that cost you $1500 probably, you'd get $10.

how do you think those types of stores stay in business? they have to make a profit somehow. the most i've been offered for a used cd was $1.00 at one of those stores. I think it was CD Warehouse or soemthing like that.

the onyl thing with selling on ebay is that you'll probably pay more for shipping than for the used cd.

I sold a lot of 230 DVD's on eBay and got more than I was expecting. Everyone here told me I'm crazy, I wouldn't be able to get anything for them. I got plenty.

Our own FS/FT forums usually will move a lot of those. Just list them out, and set prices. I'm sure many ATers would be happy to help you.
