Best way to scan pictures?

I have so many pictures that were taken pre-digital camera and was wondering if there is any decent way to scan them fast, rather then 1 by 1 in a scanner, previewing it, scanning it, saving it...starting over

If you're rather picky about which ones to do, you'll find that you don't have nearly as many as you think. You don't need to scan all the duplicates, or the ones where the subject isn't in focus.

found this service online but i don't know anything about them.

i just googled "batch picture scanning".
