Best way to run win32 binaries 2 Linux ?

What do you think is the best way to run win32 binaries in a linux machine ?

I am using a win2k/Slackware machine.

1). I normally use vmware, but I have to replace the win32 kernel with one that does not support shutdown and power off... ( sucks)

And then I cannot shutdown my win32 again. until the next reinstall.

2). there is that wine program that says that it supports many things BUT not the NTFS filesystem yet, so I have to use a small fat32 filesystem, with the win98 binaries to run win32 applications through the linux box..

3). Do you have a better way ????? please say so..

Basically I want to have network support to some win32 apps when I run then in a linux box..

Keep it real !

WineX 2.0 is out but I haven't checked up on it. I have a friend running Office 2000 under Codeweavers. That'll cost your about $50 but it's the only thing I've seen work.

The best way is to avoid it. Find replacement Linux programs, win32 support will never be better than beta or alpha quality because it's so difficult to implement the whole Win32 subsystem itself, let alone all the stupid bugs they have to emulate so programs work as expected.

I can count of the number of win32 programs I use on one hand and for all of them VMWare is fine.
