Best way to resize a digital pic?

I usually just use Photoshop, but is there a better way or program to resize pics to a larger DPI? Say I have a 1600x1200 pic, and I wanna make an 8000x6000 version to print out large pics.

photoshop is probably going to be the best option as it has a higher quality when enlarging pictures

It's going to look like an old 80's computer animation nomatter what you use. :p

Genuine Fractals is good in a lot of cases. Sometimes if your image has a lot of fine detail in a certain pattern, like shingles on a roof for instance, the algorithm can make it look a little blocky and unnatural when it tries to fake the pattern. A lot of people like S Spline too.

Truthfully, no matter what you use it's not really going to make a huge difference. Photoshop's algorithm does a pretty good job.


S Spline
