A paper copy of this flight reference would be invaluable, so I don't have to, you know, memorize the subtleties of the F-16 avionics before my first combat trip.

Dress up in a nice suit - go to some random office building that doesn't lock up the computers. Carry the PDF with you on a USB thumb drive. Insert thumb drive in office computer. Print PDF at office. Hope you can get out of there before someone notices you.

I doubt if you get anywhere near an F-16

There are these things called flight sims. You install them on your computer and use them like a game. Thing is that the good ones aren't designed so that monkeys can play them.

And what shrimp chips pic?

Good luck, it could work but it could also fail.

What are the normal rates at Kinkos, anyway? B&W would work just fine, I don't need the pretty pictures. Their website is utterly unhelpful.

Go to a friends house that has a computer and printer...

While you're in the computer room, tell that bitch to go make you a sandwich.

Insert CD real fast and hit print ... also unplug his monitor

He comes back while page 202 is going ... but can figure out how to stop it.

Eat sandwich and laugh at him..

Collect papers when done.

weak. you should memorize it. do the alt-tab thing until it becomes second nature...that will motivate you to learn.

edit: meanwhile, b!tch at your school until they give free printing...that's weak. Though, we have free printing here and the amt of paper waste is amazing. People print the most retarded sh!t. Like a 500page pdf file using the wrong encoding.

Fair warning though, if they catch you they will lock you in a closet and beat you with large shanks of meat.

Hey, back in the day our flight sims actually came with reference manuals (which probably cost more than the game did) - none of this silly PDF crap. And the ultimate goal IS to have it memorized - but it's not going to happen before I get my damn joystick (I went to fly and discovered that I don't have a gameport - had to buy some new gear) and alt-tabbing isn't exactly conducive to the learning process.

That's true, but admittedly I never got the boxed retail versions. Our computer was a POS for quite a while...so by the time I could run most of the sims, I could pick'em up from the bargain bin. Hence the pained learning...

Which joystick did you get? Last one I got had both connectors...I forget the model, but it's the Saitek HOTAS system.

The cheapest Saitek I could find. "JOYSTICK SAITEK CYBORG EVO" according to Newegg. Great, my joystick is a mitsubishi ricemobile.

And using a laptop for reference isn't a terribly bad idea.
