Best way to market a new company

You got a new company

You got a great product

It looks great
It runs great
You have some of the lowest prices in the industry.
There are people out there who will buy from you (a recent poll says so 😉 for those who'd like to figure out what the product is and have been reading about, should know what poll I am talking about)

How do you market it?

Lots and lots of hot women in bikinis to market your product. 🙂

Well the best way is to develop a marketing blitzkrieg:

First start off with tons of commercials advertising your company and some seminars and some expositions...

Then host an expos/semis and give out tests and samples of your products

And finally market your products to the appropriate mass market chain (bestbuys, target, or macys...whichever is appropriate)

EDIT: a better way is to buy out the competition and replace them...

Simply contact the competitions' shareholders, ask them to sell to you...buy 55%...

We have $450,000.00 marketing budget, and also getting $70,000.00 more int he next few weeks from a radio station in Vancouver.

Should we use this to the heaviest extent near christmas (we sell custom-built computers, Alienware/Voodoopc looks, Dell prices)

We're planning on doing a bit of catolouge distribution across Canada also. Which leaves us with about $285,000.00 reamianing for marketing, we're hoping to strech that amount over a year. We'll be doing giveaways with shirts.

Also, a local chain (Future Shop) Owned by best buy will be allowing us to have computers setup at all branches for custom comptuer creation, (it also gives us a chance to show off our looks)

Once the company is relased (in the next 2 months) I'll give ya all a heads up.

AT users will be getting discounts, asmuch as 25% 🙂

Anyone with an AT acount will get the discount? Or established AT members?

Oh well... Cool beans for those of us who prefer not to put together our own computers.

You should buy some banner ads on the technology sites! I'll bet that sites like HardOCP and Anandtech will have a good volume deal on ad packages.

Just don't buy any pop-up ads. Like many people that frequent tech sites, I make a point not to buy from companies with annoying advertising.

We're going to be buying a minimum of $25,000.00 in banner-ads at Anandtech, although we have no plans to buy any from HardOCP.

THG sounds like a good idea, think I'll look into that.

Most of our online marketing is being handled by our distributor (Ingram Micro)

Do you guys have a website?

BTW, I recommend advertising in some magazines... like PC mag. i think less people that read that mag would be likely to build their own computer, so your product would be a good fit.

Currently finishing up backend on it, and will be releasing it on our initial public release (it's set for July 15th) as thats the day our radio station partner has decided to do our big bang of an introduction. So we have to correspond the site launch with that date.

With PC Mag we're going to be sneding them one of our chrome computers, and that'll be sure to get a review. Which offers free-marketing, which isn't as obvious.

imo, you should put a teaser site up that is really eye catching but doesn't disclose very much information... maybe have a newsletter people can sign up for, for when the product is released.

Gopunk, would like a little more information on what ya mean.

If ya could contact me on AIM Qosis55

would greatly apprecaite it 🙂
