best way to make Xvid/divx Movies for mmplayer

whats the best way to do this? im having all sorts of problems

dropping frames and synching probs

drdivx is crap, pocket divx encoder aint bad but still isnt good

im gonna try Xvid....i hear it also runns much faster on A64 to encode

any tips?

If you're not willing to spend that much time and effort, a program called PocketDVD Studio is what you want... http://www.pqdvd.com ... bear in mind a lot of us do have problems with the 2.x version ... but the 1.26 version they have available works fine too.

XVID is hardly different than DIVX (encoding time or quality) in my many many hours of testing.

cool i jus tried using virtual dub mod, but it had problems with the audio and i couldnt figure out how to actually start the encoding! i was rushing around though so i prob jus missed it

DVD -> DiVX/XViD dont use anything else

is the latest version of MMPlayer just slow or something? it doesnt seem to be able to play anything without having trouble. i encoded a file that could run on a zire71 (144Mhz OMAP) and it still has to drop frames and is out of synch with audio on my zire72 (312 Mhz Intel PXA270)
