I have about 6 blisters split evenly between my two feet (from all the walking i've been doing)

Two of them have been there since last wed and just wont go away...

Suggestions? They are quite painful at times...

Take your shoes off and stop walking for a couple days. Then, when they heal, buy better shoes.

Walking is unfortunately my only option as i don't have a car here and the closest store is roughly 1/2 mile down the road...

There's no way you can make them go away... you just have to let them heal.

If you pop them, you will be sorry.

You could go to walgreens and get those patches made for blisters. They worked wonders when I was walking all over Europe.

Once you get a blister, you're screwed. To prevent, wear two pairs of socks. They'll rub on each other, rather than on your skin.

letting them heal takes way too long. if you use a needle to let the fluid out, it will heal a lot faster. i used to run cross country and would encounter this problem a lot.

you could also buy a product call 2nd Skin, which is sold at any pharmacy. it will help keep the blister from rubbing.

*edit* speleng

So you're going to the store 15 times a day, or what? Are you saying you're getting blisters from walking a mile per day?

They are called Moleskin (don't ask me why they are called that). Should help quite a bit, look into getting some different shoes also.

They're going to heal the same speed anyway.

My trick is to let them be a blister for a couple of days. The sooner you pop them, the more raw it's going to be underneath. If you wait even a day or two, it will have had a chance to heal a little under there and it won't be so bad when the layer of skin is gone.

pop them with a sterile needle.

Yup, this is actually the right way. As long as you wash your area clean and pop it with a sterile needle then follow-up with a bandage, the same healing process will prove to be much easier.

Anyone know the UK equivalent of moleskin?

There is a boots downtown that should sell something i suppose...

Just go to a local pharmacy or general store that has a pharmacy. They should have a whole section for feet.

Ok, well i need a more permanent solution... Walked another 3-4 miles over the past 2 days and ive got even more now....

Could my shoes be too loose causing this? This is the first pair of wide shoes ive ever gotten... Blisters seem to be contained to either the side of my big toes, bridge of my feet, and occationally the arch.
