Anyone know of any websites or travel agents to get last minute deals? I have a place to stay , i just need cheap ticket..

Yeah, I tried priceline already, Travelocity has great last minute deals on airfare, around 50% off, but they require that you either rent a car or book a hotel with the airfare

Just as a quick note, compared to the airlines PUBLISHED fares, I saved around 250 on Travelocity last minute deals and got a rental car to boot...

Looks like I will be using that service when I plan my trip to Europe later this summer, the discounts are incredible.. I don't think either the airline or the rental agency made much money off me.

air transat has some really killer last minute deals up here in canada... check out if there are charters operating at your city's airports.

newbiepcuser: stand by is still there, although airlines don't like it, so it's not there in the sense that i think you're referring to. right now, if a passenger came up and asked for a stand by ticket, they'd probably get full-fare ticket and the inconvenience of being on stand by. althought this may be different in the states, i'm not sure about that.

Climb the fence at the airport. When the plane is just about to take off, run up the wheel strut, and HOLD ON! Holding your breath might help, too. 😛

depending where you are going, you can try jetblue, it has the same price even when you order close to the flight date

Just climb up into the wheel well. Bring a blanket and some Twinkies. 😀
