Sorry if this is already some place, but i really couldnt find it. Is there a best way or preferred way to format your hard drive? I'm a newb and need to know how to format hard drive =(
 
In addition to what PurdueRy said, I generally do a slow format so it can scan and mark bad sectors. It takes longer, but it's not something you do every day, and it could save you some hassle in the future.
