syscommander 2000 doesn't recognize ME correctly...

has anyone dualbooted these two in this order[with ME on c:]
tried to use pmagic using the two bootup disk, but kept receiving errors with the new partition[tried to create a 3gig ntfs par on a 10gig hdrive][[other part is fat32]]

any tips/advice ????

If you do not want to instal Win2K on C: (or on the same drive as WInME/9x) AND C: is not larger than 8GB, all you should have to do is install Win2K from CD. The install will write a few files on C: to set up the boot loader (allowing you to choose which OS at boot) and that's it.

Yeah, BootMagic doesn't work with WinMe. So you have to rely on Win00's dual boot. Kind of a stinker. You can do it the hard way using pmagic from a DOS boot disc by 'activating' the hidden partition (thus hiding the other).

Bootmagic 1.01 works with great for Win98 and WinMe and Win2000 for me. I have Bootmagic installed on the Win98 Partition. WinMe and Win2000 does not have a DOS, only a command prompt. If you have Win98, install Win98 on the first partition C:, Then WinME on C:, then Win2000. Install the Boot files for Win2000 on a small primary partition on C: and bootstrap Win2000 to a logical drive.
