My mother doesn't want to quit; so much as not get cancer. What's the best way to replace cigarettes with e-cigarettes? Where do you purchase, which one do you get, etc. I see a LOT of astro-turfing on google, so I don't know what to trust.

Edit:
Fixed spelling so HJ can feel better about himself

I bought stuff from e-cig. It's shipped direct from China. The vaporizers have been failing and we've only had them for 2-3 months. I have to learn about ordering replacement parts.

Greensmoke.
My wife has been using them for over a year.
No more bad breath, no more stink, no more coughing and hacking.

There have been quite a few threads here about this.

I bought an Ego-T last fall. I used it intermittently for a couple of months...just to get used to it, (it's NOT like smoking a cigarette) and continued smoking. After the first of the year, I decided to finally use it to reduce my smoking...cut down 1-2 per day until I was down to only 1-2 per day. A little over 2 weeks ago, I smoked my last cigarette.

I'm still a nicotine addict...and there are times when I'd love to light one up...but don't.

I bought my starter kit here:

He was local to me at the time...pretty decent guy, explained the process and equipment.
I found a local shop here for my "juice." I recommend that so she can find a flavor that she likes. The variety of flavors that are available is astonishing...most are "kiddie flavors" IMO, but whatever it takes.
She should NOT try to immediately stop smoking with one of these, but rather, work it into her smoking regimen a bit at a time until she's comfortable with the change...and use it to slowly eliminate "real" cigarettes.

Not sure...don't know what the hell an e-cigaret is.

Just boggles my mind that so many people can't grasp the English language...and so many more can't figure out how to use spell check or goggle the spelling on something before making themselves look like an illiterate moron.

Yes... yes they should.

I am sorry but if you are going to try to pull that one off at least do it yourself.

I can honestly say that having spent many, many, hours on these forums has given me the experience typing and forming rational arguments that's allowed me to overcome my natural limitations. Looking at my bad-ass CV, I've done a fairly fucking good job of overcoming the practical limitations that my inability to spell has caused.

middle school level "insult".
Holy Jesus. What is that? What the fuck is that?! That's no middle-school level insult son, it's a fucking Grde A, R. Lee Ermey, Stanley Kubrick I'm-going-to-rip-your-balls-off-so-you-can-not-contaminate-the-rest-of-the-world level insult.

now STFU noob.

In regards to the money issue...a carton of Marlboros here is about $75 + tax...so about $80. When I was smoking, that would last me about 3 weeks. A 15 ml bottle of "juice" is about $14 and lasts me almost 2 weeks. (I use about 2-1/2 to 3 bottles per month)

Yep...because a mistype is the same as not knowing how to spell.

Morons.

O poor baby. Do you need a hug? Was your father mean to you? How about you get some wet wipes and clean the sand from your vagina.

Now back on topic. The e-cigs that "look" like cigs suck (common rule, may not be true for all). And all the ones I've tried sucked.

I personally use this product http://www.volcanoecigs.com/electronic-cigarette-starter-kits/inferno-kit.html

It's easy to use, the refill cartomizers last a good while. They also rarely taste burnt from the get go (just rinse them out at first, and let dry).

I've been smoking for over 15+ years, and these have helped me really kick back. I'll still smoke one on occasion, but not often since cigs taste like crap.

To put a little more in perspective I went from a pack a day to a pack every couple of weeks.

Ya, it saves me loads of money at the very least it dropped my nicotine bill by 50% per month (just a rough estimate).

I got the Volt basic starter kit about a month ago and it's working great. I wanted to keep the e-cig about the same size as the real thing and this kit does that. I used to smoke a pack a day and now like sourn I'm down to one every once and a while.

I used to smoke Marlboro lights and like the desert joe and cowboy in 18mg. To me $45 for a starter kit and $14 for juice was a great price. Like I said I've been using them a little over a month and the batteries are going strong.
