Best way to cover up alcohol breath?

My wife doesn't like me to drink and can always smell it on me when I do. I chew up a few altoids and stick a piece of gum in my mouth before I come home, but she can still smell it on me. Anyone know of something that gets rid of the smell? There's gotta be a trick like eating a pickle or something.....
 
gum works fine if you HOLD YOUR BREATH. The smell is in your throat and stomach, not your mouth. There really is no good way. Tell her you like to have a drink now and then, she will like it or she can GTFO, either way you're being honest which she may/maynot deserve....
 
Respect your wife's wishes. Trying to cover it up is just cheating on her. If you must drink then work out a comprimise.
 
I hear extremely sour hard candies can somewhat cover the smell... or maybe peanut butter...

However, don't forget when you drink... your not only breathing alcohol, your sweating it too... that is where alot of the smell comes from... good luck covering that up....😛
 
The way it was explained to me even if you were to inject the alcohol directly into your blood stream you would still get alcohol on your breath. Which is why breathalyzers work, if it worked like bad breath you get when you eat something nasty all you'd have to do is brush your teeth to get rid of it.

Why don't you just quit drinking?

LOL you sound like a teenager trying to hide their drinking from their parents. Doesn't that sound a bit immature? I agree, you should respect your wife wishes.

But it's difficult to mask the smell of alcohol because your body is actually exuding it... hell, even your skin and eyeballs are exuding alcohol when you drink (there's actually tests for the eyes now). But to beat an breathalyzers test, i've heard if you eat dirt you can... that screws up the instruments so it gives a false negative (of course i never tried it so i can't confirm). So no advice... you can try that peanut butter, that sounds like something simple, but i'm skeptical of that.

I think it's very difficult. All you can do is either stop drinking or tell her to get a grip. Do you drink much? If not tell her to shut up!
 
You sweat out the alcohol too.
You should plan on coming home later, when shes asleep.
 
i heard a cop say its really hard to smell alcohol on the breath of someone whos been drinking vodka.

Just she not like you to drink because you drink too often? If that's the case, maybe you should talk to your wife and come to a compromise like others have stated.

On the other hand, if nobody else thinks you drink too much (you should ask around on this) except your wife - maybe she's being a bit too strict.

Why don't you ask your wife to join you? Maybe she just doesn't like the fact you go out drinking with other friends and she doesn't get your attention. It could be a multitude of things...ensure other people don't think you drink too much first, but when it comes to the female species, they're never straightforward😉
 
Bring the car screeching into the driveway on two wheels and a door handle, slam the car door, stomp up the front steps, slam the front door behind you and yell "who wants to get laid?"

Psylence.. Obviously she has a reason for not liking you drinking. Nobody just dislikes the idea of someone drinking unless they have a reason to.
