Oven on a wire rack. For added deliciousness, brush it with some brown sugar melted down with a little bit of water. Or maple syrup. Or honey.

It gets nice and crispy because the drippings drain off. And you have the bacon fat easily collected in the pan below.

Is in the oven in a cast iron skillet. That is all.

Ya know, since I got my cast iron skillet a few years ago, bacon is one of the only things I haven't tried cooking in it...hmmm...maybe today's the day

I cook it in a half sheet pan covered in foil. I'm not sure how cast iron would help in this case, since the thermal mass of the pan merely slows it's heating. The virtue of cast iron is that once hot it retains heat, which can be pretty close to nuclear.

That's why when I cook a thick steak I heat the pan very hot and get a good sear on both sides. After that it's into the oven to finish it.

On the BBQ. Seals in that nice smoky flavour and gets it's good and crispy.

Agree with OP, but the grill pan is acceptable as well if you don't want it sitting in the fat. Oven is easiest because it's the cleanest. You don't have bacon grease splattered all over you and your kitchen after, plus you can easily cook the whole pack and freeze the remainder.

In a cast iron pan over the burner on the Barbie. I love the smell but would rather not nuke the house with it. The neighbor dogs line the fences downwind:)

I fry it in an iron pan, extra crispy. I can't imagine it getting any better than that.

Since I always burn bacon somehow, I just buy the box of microwaveable bacon now. Comes out damn near perfect everytime.

Then again, I'm not that big of a bacon fan. I mean it's good, but I'd rather have something else for breakfast most days.

Definitely this. I always try to cook my bacon this way. Only time I do not is if I am in a rush and need bacon stat!
