Best way to color drive bezels?

I have a black aluminum case on order, and want to color my CD ROM/burner and floppy bezels to match, or possibly a different color all together that would look good. What is the best way to do it? Paint or dye? I want the best possible finish that's within reason as far as cost.

basically dye for plastic, paint for metal.

try doing a search-I know there are some good referance links some old threads.

Yeah I've seen that guide on making covers for the drives out of spare slot covers, very interesting. It would look great, but will be time consuming. I may try it sometime, but for now I think I'm going to go with the dye technique. Now I just need to decide on a color.....

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated!

The best place to search for vinyl dye is at auto part stores. I visited every one in my town before I found a charcoal gray color to match the Hammered paint I was using on the rest of the case. Looks pretty good I think. Here. Take the extra time to fully disassemble the CD-ROM drive and dye the tray. Well worth the time spent.
