Best way to clean your keyboard (underneath the keys)

Braves

I was bored today and was looking between my keys on the keyboard when I noticed i have a lot of junk and crumbs and things like that below there and it's really kinda nasty. Any suggestions on cleaning it?

Try using compressed air. Just do it over a garbage can because you don't want all that stuff flying around onto your desk. 😛

turn the keyboard upside-down and shake it at different angles. Also, hit the bottom edge against the desk at an angle.

Braves, on my MS Office K/B, I just use the crevice attachment of my Hoover, works great for dust and crumbs, hope this helps.

i had to pop some keys off before when i couldnt get some crumbs from underneath the keys it was funny experience. turned out i switched some of the keys and didnt realize why i kept typing the wrong keys cuz i was so used to the original setting

I always turn mine upside down and shake it. Rarely will I get out the compressed air. There is some nasty stuff in there😀

I use a very powerful vaccum cleaner with the brush attachment (mfg. by Electrolux). The keyboard feels brand new afterwards.

the easiest way is with a vacuum... The BEST way is to take it apart and clean it... Keyboards are very simple devices, they're very easy to take apart and reassemble

A chip puller works nicely to pop the keys off.

Failing that (I lost my chip puller), bend a heavy-duty paper clip into a U-shape and use needlenose pliers to form very short gripping surfaces, about 1/16" to 1/8". Use it just like a chip-puller.

This is about the only way to get the keys really clean as well as clean crumbs, ashes, etc., under the keys.
