Best way to boil hot dogs?

What I like to do is the BOIL/STEAM method. You basically steam heat a hot dog. The method: You need one of those pots with the extra piece that has a lot of holes (I dunno what you call it) but anyways you put water in the pot and the metal piece with the holes on top. Put the hot dog in and cover it with the lid. Works great and is EXTRA hot.
 
They can come out pretty nasty in the microwave...you just don't cook em for more than a minute usually 30-45s works good, less for non-frozen ones. Microwaving is essentially boiling really fast 🙂
 
place them in a shallow microwave safe container (glass is good)

fill with water so they are covered

microwave the container/dogs for 2.5 minutes

eat the tasty dogs

mustard/relish/ketchup optional

BTW, Ya gotta be REALLY lazy to microwave a hotdog, or live in a dorm. It taste SOOO Nasty.
 
2 best ways to cook Dogs. As suggested already steaming, MUCH better then boiling, trust me I have been eating Hot Dogs forever I am an expert. But, I also like Chili Cheese Dogs & I have found that if you plop a couple into the Chili while you cook it, they come out mighty tasty. It might be all in my head seeing how with the chili almost any method of cooking a dog it would be hard to notice how the dog was cooked.

Steaming a couple Nathens until the ends split YUUUUM!
Also, isn't steaming "healthy" I know people who swear by Steamed Veggies. I steam too, my veggies just happen to be made of all beef. 🙂
