Ive used those crappy 3rd party HOE drivers and have experienced nothing but trouble. After typing "quit" in cs console my computer would freeze up. I couldnt configure my display like I did before with the retail 3dfx drivers..

After a little hunting through the net I came across "amigamerlin" drivers. Fabulous drivers.. they work like the retail 3dfx drivers under XP :D

they never gave me any problems... have fun

Schweet! I'll have to take my Voodoo 5 back out of the box. Now to find a computer to put it in. :p

I haven't tried those, I use the x3dfx drivers and GlideXP, but FYI there will be an officialish(as official as can be--these are new drivers from actual reverse engineered source code) drivers released within a few weeks!! :)

Right now, all XP drivers, including Amigamerlin, are hacked Win2k drivers, so these new drivers (version 1.09) are a whole different animal.

thanks for the headsup. I'm running the official driver with Win2K. Should i switch? I 've tried many different hacked drivers but none of them seems stable. Gotta try these drivers tonite when i get home.
