That's what immediately came to mind for me too. Granted, I don't play a lot of games.

But the intro to that one (for its time) immediately let you know that you were in for an immersive experience not usually seen in a FPS. That game (along with the original Thief) are still my all-time favorite single-player games.
 
Warcraft 3 had some of the best CG and cutscenes of its time which really defined the game and its story. Also, the Diablo series had some excellent and just as significant cutscenes that similarly sculpted a pretty deep story.

Forgot about that. I remember parents walking into EB and were impressed by that intro, asking the clerk what game that was. Another one was Shenmue.
 
Rainbow 6 II: Rogue Spear

The entire movie isn't super good, but the last 20 seconds or so is one of the coolest ever. Remember watching that everytime I loaded it up.
