best video editing software for handycam dcr-dvd305?

its got to be simple, easy to use and the only piece of software to use from start to finish. i do not need crazy options and tools. anyone have any suggestions?

Records to DVD, right? Look at Pinnacle Studio or Sony Vegas Movie. Both do native MPEG2 edits (At least I think Sony added that last year.) You won't have to render to an intermediate format using one that can edit natively.
