I have winfast PVR, and i was wondering what the best codec to use to record a football game.

i've tried a lot of them, and so far winmedia at 1400kbps seems to be the best.

any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

If you plan to keep it in your HDD then AVI will be your best bet.
But if you plan to burn it on a DVD then MPEG-2 at 720x576 res should be your flavor. (calculate and experiment on the time you need-6000kbps should be enough for about 90min)

Yeah if goin for HDD Recording, use DivX/XviD, small size while still preserving good quality.
