A Voodoo3 would be a good choice. The 2D is excellent in terms of quality and speed. It also has a mature set of drivers. These can be had in the $60 range. Since 3dfx is going out of business, these might be hard to get real soon.

Matrox G450 was my first choice but unfortunately is only available in AGP format. Does anybody know if Voodoo 3 is compatible with Windows ME?

Thanks

Sure the Voodoo-3 3000 PCI will work with WinME. I checked Buy.com and Computers4Sure for you, and they were both sold out, but the 2000 PCI is in stock HERE. It's only a little slower than the 3000 for 3D, and has the same 2D quality etc.

Thanks SleepyTim, Couple more questions, Would Voodoo 4500 makes any difference in my ?old? system over Voodoo 3000? Or should I wait for ati radeon pci version to come out? By the way does anybody know when is ati radeon pci version coming out?

I dont think there will be a Radeon PCI. The Voodoo 3 3K/2K or 4500 is your best bet.

voodoo4 pci maybe the way to go, maybe the price will drop soon since 3dfx is done. driver support for the voodoo will most likely end but i wouldn't stop me from buying it, plus with the voodoo4 you will have a decent(not great) 3d card.
