Best video card in the $150-200 range?

So far I was thinking of getting a Radeon 9500 pro. Is there any other card in this price range that might be better?

A 9700NP for ~$200 is a much better deal than a 9500P for ~$180, IMO.

I hope you don't mind me chiming in here, but what card exactly for this price range? What 9700NP? It isn't a retail ATI card, is it? Is it a Sapphire? Just curious. What's better about the 9700np vs the 9500Pro?

9700 is faster and has a 256bit bus,the 9500 Pro has a 128 bit bus and is also being phased out(9600 Pro is replacing it).Having 256 bit bus on the 9700 gives it a larger bandwidth so when using AA/AF it will give you higher FPS then the 9500 Pro.

I believe Sapphire are the main manufacturer for ATi and make a lot of their cards for them.

Where do I grab a 9700 non pro? I didn't see one at Newegg.

Also.. Would it be a decent upgrade from a PNY GF4 Ti200 64mb 8x AGP or am I wasting my time?

It`s the same card except the 9700 NP version has slower memory & core speeds .

the 9700 Pro has 325MHz core and 620MHz DDR memory speed, whereas the 9700 runs at 275Mhz core (50Mhz less) and 540Mhz DDR memory (80Mhz less).

If you use AA or AF in gaming then yes it would be worthwhile.
