Looking to buy a new video card & i'n on a $40-$50 budget. I just need something that is gonna run smooth. I don't do no type of gaming so need need for a high end one. I just need something that will work good with my Dell E172FP lcd moniter. I'm currently using a nvida tnt 32mb card. Will be buying my new card from newegg.

Thanks in advance.

If you find a TI4200 or TI4400 that will be good IMO
dunno if newegg has em, so maybe used on the forum classifieds or ebay

For zero gaming, even a geforce4 mx or fx5200 is OK. Get one with just a heatsink and no a fan.

Just look at the number of stars next to each card, pick one with 4-5 stars.

If you don't game, any AGP card with a DVI output should do. What's currently wrong with your TNT? If you're not gaming, I don't see why it should be a problem.

From my quick browse thru Newegg's site, I'd probably go with one of the <$50 Radeon 9200SE's or something like this Radeon 7000.

isn't the 172fp analog anyway? i'd just keep the tnt. but if you must, wait for a sale on the 9200 from compusa or something like that.

Yep.

The FX5200 or just about any RADEON card in your price range should serve you well. I like the RADEON cards only because I think the color is better, but the nVidia cards I used before were still great. Either one shouldbe fine as you don't game.
