I would get an x1950xt 256mb. It will perform close to its big brother with 512megs of ram if you play at res. under 1600x1200.

Why not used? Used means its 100% gaurantee that it works fine. A 7950GX2 for 350ish is hard to come by really.

If not, a X1900XT 512mb since you wanted the 512mb card.

OK. I have narrowed it down between X1950XT 256MB and X1900xt 512MB

I really wanted a 512MB card, but the X1950XT 256 MB has me thinking.

What would suit me better alittle faster memory....or 256 MB more memory?

Have you taken this under consideration?

I would buy used if i knew the user. I hate to send anybody that kind of cash with no guarentee of getting my card. Besides I imagine that the card in question is already sold.

I would get the x1900xt 512. You can always do a mild OC on the core and mem and most will reach x1900xtx clocks. The x1950xt 256mb is a good card also, but if the price is about the same I'd get the 512mb card.

256MB more memory

i am leaning to upgrading my x1950p to the 512MB version

if you plan to keep your card "awhile", games are definitely getting more textures and more strain on the GPU's vRAM ... i think a mild o/c on the 512MB version might equal the performance of the 256MB core and memory while give you more 'futureproofing'.
