Dear all,
I am going to get a new card for my system.

I do a lot of design work, mainly using photoshop, and I want to know which video card in the market now will be ideal for this area of work.

I do not play games, so I wonder is a Geforce card the way to go, since I don't really need to process much 3D stuff.

How about a matrox card?

Thanks in advance.

Well, from what they say (I can't tell) Matrox and ATI have better 2D quality than nVidia. I'd go with a Radeon 8500. Peace! :D:|:Q:p:Q:|:D:disgust::D:|:Q:p:Q:|:D:disgust::eek::disgust::D:|:Q:|:D:disgust::eek::disgust::D:|:Q:p:Q:|:D:disgust::eek::disgust::D:|:Q:p:cool::frown::confused:

if you're not going to play games, and just want great 2D, grab a matrox G550 for cheap, and you'll be happy.

no need for a gaming card that costs 2-3X more.
