If you live outside California, NewEgg and ZZF have the eVGA 7800GT for $319 out the door and $299 after mail-in rebate.

If you live in California (as I do, sucks paying taxes), Monarch Computer has them for $339 out the door, $319 after MIR.

If you live outside California then Newegg and ZZF have the best deals since you dont have to pay tax. Inside California, Monarch is the cheapest. I just got my 7800GT from Monarch, received it 3 days after order! Fastest I've ever got anything from monarch.

AGP??? CRAP!

Disregard the above then. Get the 6800GS AGP if you can find it.

PCI-E huh?

PLease, do yourself a favor and get the 7800GT. Anything less and you'll be short changing yourself.

i'm not sure, but i think you need at least 26A+ on the 12v rail, especailly with higher end cards

6800gs is nice, but they're selling pretty fast, might be lucky to find one. i say get the 7800gt, or you could be patient, and wait for the 7800gs. it'll be cheaper than the 7800gt and is pretty close to it's performance.

yeah agree, i stated that in a earlier post, that's definelty something he might consider upgrading before he gets a new card, it's the 12A on the 12v rail that worries me
